Raise awareness on HIV and preventive care with Curaplus

In 2025, we participated regularly in outreach events in collaboration with CuraPlus. CuraPlus is an organisation dedicated to sexual health education and prevention, with special attention to HIV. The events were aimed at raising awareness on HIV and preventive care and serve both the migrant population and the wider local community.

During these events, CuraPlus provided free HIV rapid testing and sexual health education. Offering free HIV testing improves access to early diagnosis and timely treatment, which can help reduce the risk of transmission and contribute to better public health on the island.

Salú pa Tur offered blood pressure and glucose testing, together with education on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. When available, we also distributed donated clothing, baby supplies, and other essential items to people in need.

To reach as many people as possible, each event was held in a different neighbourhood across Curaçao. On September 27, one of these outreach events took place at our clinic (picture below).
