Official Opening of Salú pa Tur's New Location
On September 22nd, we officially opened the new location of Salú pa Tur at Willem de Zwijgerlaan 7 in Emmastad. This marks a special milestone for our organization, and one we were very happy to celebrate together with our partners, supporters, colleagues, and friends.
Salú pa Tur has been based at Landhuis Kas Chikitu since its founding in 2019. In the past years, the demand for our clinic's services has continued to increase. In 2025 alone, we conducted over 15,000 consults for more than 3,000 patients. With our new location we are better able to meet the growing need for our services. Our new location also brings together clinical, administrative, management and outreach teams under one roof, facilitating better communication, collaboration, and ultimately patient care.
During the official opening moment director Marhainska Sakoetoe and chairman of the board Jules Pieters were joined by Minister of Health, Environment and Nature (GMN) Tyron Boekhoudt. In his speech, the minister highlighted the important role Salú pa Tur plays in Curaçao's healthcare landscape by providing primary health care, obstetric care, psychosocial care, and outreach care to uninsured migrants on the island. We are grateful for the partnership with the Ministry of GMN and are looking forward to continuing this collaboration.
This milestone is about more than a new building. It marks a new chapter for Salú pa Tur. A place where we can continue to provide accessible primary healthcare and further strengthen the support we offer to the most vulnerable.
We are incredibly proud of how far Salú pa Tur has come since 2019, and grateful to everyone who has been part of that journey.
